The Acting Deputy Chief Executive, Mr Forster Boateng, in charge of Operations paid a working visit to the Iribov Invitro Laboratory at Sogakope in the Volta Region.
TCDA identifies the Iribov laboratory as a partner through the provision of quality planting materials for farmers. In addition, TCDA identifies opportunities from Iribov’s traceability digitalized system put in place to track each seedling supplied and planted in farmers’ fields
Mr Boateng commended management of the Laboratory for the introduction of advanced technology to accelerate TCDAs commitment towards providing high quality planting materials to farmers more specifically for cashew and Mango.
It is identified that the advanced work done on other food crops such as ginger, turmeric, and yam mini-sets could be integrated into the TCDA’s diversification intervention to enhance the livelihood and resilience of smallholder farmers
